Are utilities included in rent? How much are they?

No. Utilities are not included in the monthly payment listed. The best way to get an estimate is to call Nyseg (New York State Electric and Gas company) and give them the address of your apartment in question. They can then provide you with estimates based off of that informaiton. 

Do my parents have to sign the lease with me?

Nope! You sign a joint lease with the people that you live with.

Is 15 Charles Street close to the bus stop?

Yes it is! 15 Charles Street is just one block away from the bus stop. Look under useful places for more information on the bus!

Is my apartment furnished?

Each space varies on furnishings, however each bedroom does have a bed and mattress. There is a coin operated washer and dryer down the hall from the units.  If you are interested in a specific apartment or furnishings, give us a call with any questions! 

Where is your office located?

We are located in Suite 2c–just downstairs from the student wing! Super convenient, all you have to do is walk over to our office with any questions, concerns, or to pay rent. 

There are only two of us that want an apartment, can we still rent one?

If you want a three bedroom unit with only two people, the full amount of rent per month still has to be paid. One bedroom cannot stay unpaid after a lease is signed. Finding a third person would cost much less.

Is the building secure?
Yes, the building is only accessible with a keypad, and there are also cameras in the hallway for extra security.
Is the owner of the building local?
We are! We are the owner and manager of the building and our office is right downstairs.
Are there smoke alarms in the buildings?
The building is fully equipped with fire alarms and sprinkler systems
How far is the bus to get to campus?
The bus to get to binghamton is steps away from the building

Is there off street parking?
There is! There is an entire lot so the students have easy parking and do not have to worry about parking ramps.
Can they break a lease if not attending school for the second semester of the school year?
The leases start in June and run until the end of May
Can they sublet?
They can sublet, as long as the sublet submits an application to us so we know who is in the building.
